Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Detroit, MI seeks an on-site Engineer to support 24x7 IT operations for data center environments. You will monitor power, UPS, HVAC, and environmental alerts, coordinate with facilities and vendors, and handle incidents in a structured, compliant manner.

The role requires hands-on support, strong documentation, and calm decision-making during high-priority situations. Bachelor-level CS is preferred, with a focus on reliability and precise execution.

• Good documentation skills for logs, checklists, and shift handover notes.
• Strong communication skills for coordination with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to remain calm, attentive, and organized in operational or high-priority situations.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7x365 IT Operations Center support for manufacturing, corporate, and data center environments.
• Data Center facilities monitoring (Power, UPS, HVAC, environmental alerts).
• L1 Application, Infrastructure Monitoring support for Applications, server, network, storage, backup, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Provide onsite hands-on support for data center facilities monitoring.
• Plant IT & OT/IT coordination with internal Team & third-party vendors.
• Support Incidents, Service Request, problem aligned with governance.
• Support applicable compliance and audit-readiness requirements.
• Coordinate with Facilities, for physical security, equipment moves and third-party vendors.
