Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bloomington, MN is seeking an Operations Monitor to oversee 24x7 data center performance across systems, servers, apps and networks. You will triage incidents, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure timely updates within SLA requirements.

The role covers after-hours shifts, environmental monitoring, ticketing in ServiceNow, and collaboration with facilities and network teams to restore services while maintaining documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• 24x7 data center operations monitoring across systems, servers, applications and networks.
• Incident monitoring, triage, escalation and follow-up with internal teams, vendors, and providers.
• Understanding of facilities alarm monitoring, environmental alerts, and escalation procedures.
• Experience managing after-hours operational support (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Proficiency in monitoring and responding to ServiceNow incidents within defined SLA timelines.
• Knowledge of network availability monitoring and outage tracking.
• Experience opening, updating and tracking incident tickets to resolution.
• Familiarity with data center environmental monitoring and health checks.
• Understanding of ITIL-based incident management and escalation workflows.
• Strong documentation and communication for timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system, server, application, and network availability across the data center environment.
• Identify failures, outages, and performance issues, escalate to appropriate teams.
• Perform continuous facilities alarm and environmental monitoring for stability and compliance.
• Respond to operational alerts during after-hours shifts.
• Manage ServiceNow tickets within SLA requirements.
• Open and track incident tickets with vendors/service providers to closure.
• Coordinate with internal infrastructure, network, application and facilities teams during incidents.
• Conduct periodic checks of data center systems and monitoring tools.
• Maintain incident logs, escalation records and operational documentation.
• Communicate outages and status updates to stakeholders.
