Job summary

AWS Data Centers is seeking hands-on engineering operations staff to maintain and operate critical facility infrastructure across multiple sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, be ready for incident response, and support the daily running of 24/7 data center environments.

You will work with teams handling generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and chillers, while collaborating with FM and site teams to meet safety and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of practical experience in electrical systems, mechanical systems, HVAC, and/or fire suppression systems

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning
• Execute PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment
• Support change management with technical writing
• Manage work requests and projects from conception to completion
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors in accordance with procedures and local legislation
• Work schedule changes; shifts can be up to 12 hours; some locations have on-call rotations
• Role may support multiple locations/sites
