Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission‑critical infrastructure, including generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems.

You will help ensure 24/7 uptime and safety across AWS data centers. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers and operations staff, perform preventive maintenance, handle rack installations, monitor BMS/EPMS, and provide on-site support to contractors.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical or data center facilities experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, or holidays in a 24/7/365 environment.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack‑level events within SLAs.
• Install and decommission racks within SLA.
• Support on‑site contractors and vendors ensuring safety procedures.
• Travel between data center locations as needed.
