Job summary

Lambda seeks a Data Center Operations System Engineer III in Columbus to coordinate and maintain data center infrastructure deployments and incident responses across Columbus facilities. The role requires presence in the Columbus Data Center five days a week, with two shifts providing 12 hours total coverage.

Responsibilities include racking, labeling, cabling, and configuring new server, storage, and network infrastructure; troubleshooting hardware and software issues in GPU and networking

Qualifications

• Experience with critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers such as power distribution, airflow, environmental monitoring and capacity planning.
• Familiar with carrier DIA circuits and fiber testing.
• Knowledge of cable types and patching.
• Understanding of single and three-phase power theories.
• Experience with DCIM software and structured cabling best practices.
• Ability to create and improve MOPs for maintenance.
• Experience with ticketing systems like JIRA and Zendesk.

Responsibilities

• Rack, label, cabling and configure new server, storage and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on GPU and Networking systems.
• Document and update data center layout and network topology in DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing for large-scale deployments.
• Manage a parts depot inventory and track equipment through the deployment process.
• Collaborate with HW Support to resolve high-level incidents and share solutions across operations.
• Coordinate with RMA team for replacements and returns.
