Job summary

Lambda Inc. is seeking a Data Center Infrastructure Technician to join our Columbus, OH Data Center. You will help rack, label, cable, and configure server, storage and network infrastructure, and troubleshoot complex hardware/software issues in GPU and networking systems.

You will document data center layouts, work with supply chain for deployments, and manage part inventories while partnering with HW Support and RMA teams to ensure smooth incident resolution and replacements.

Qualifications

• Experience with critical infrastructure systems supporting data centers such as power distribution, air flow management, environmental monitoring, capacity planning, and DCIM software.
• Familiarity with carrier DIA circuit test, fiber testing, and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of cable optics and different types of use.
• Understanding of single and three-phase power theory and PDU balancing.

Responsibilities

• Rack, label, cable and configure new server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced GPU and Networking systems.
• Document and update data center layout and network topology in DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain & manufacturing for timely deployments.
• Manage a parts depot inventory and track equipment through the lifecycle in data centers.
• Collaborate with HW Support to resolve incidents and disseminate solutions.
• Work with RMA to return faulty parts and order replacements.
• Follow standards and documentation for placement, labeling, and cabling to drive consistency.
