Job summary

Belcan is hiring a Data Center Specialist to deliver Tier II technical support for workstations and servers across physical and virtual environments. The role combines troubleshooting with collaboration to sustain continuous network operations, including monitoring performance, diagnosing issues, and delivering daily management reports.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Help Desk or System Administration with Microsoft Enterprise Applications and Windows client machines; seeks IAT-II and VCP

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/retain a Secret clearance
• IAT-II certification within 90 days of hire
• VCP 6.0 certification within 6 months of hire
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum 3+ years in Help Desk Support or System Administration with Microsoft Enterprise Apps, Servers, and Windows clients

Responsibilities

• Administer Active Directory: manage user permissions, OU, and GPOs
• Monitor and report anomalies; take proactive steps to fix issues
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues related to apps, OS, and infra
• Deploy and maintain virtualized environments to support ops
• Rack and cable physical devices for connectivity and functionality
• Monthly maintenance on hardware and VMs for optimal performance
• System administration for desktops, servers, and VMs
• Maintain data center cleanliness and organization
• Work independently or with the team to support operations
