Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. seeks a Data Center Technician II to deliver proactive end-user support via phone, email, and on-site interactions. You will handle trouble tickets, remote hands requests, and install a range of circuits while maintaining security and cleanliness in a fast-paced data center environment.

The role requires physical tasks (lifting 50 lbs), knowledge of Windows systems, and experience with data center hardware. You will join an Operations Team focused on uptime and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College degree in related discipline preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience or demonstrated ability to meet these responsibilities/qualifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective customer relationships, with customer satisfaction as the ultimate goal.
• Answer customer phone calls and emails within a timely and professional manner.
• Complete installation, testing and close out of new customer orders and hardware/software support.
• Monitor, assist and/or resolve troubleshooting technical issues and alarms with DataBank Infrastructure.
• Perform physical security walkthroughs and administer sign-in procedures for all colocation customers and visitors.
• Accurately capture time invested on tasks and tickets, including timesheets.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and Tour Readiness at all times.
• Be added to the Market's on-call rotation as needed.
• Assist with readings of equipment draws and customer audits.
• Adhere to DataBank Cabling Standards.
• Maintain inventory of tools, test equipment, and devices.
• Knowledge of PR/CSP/CP processes to process vendor payments.
• Assist other departments to facilitate customer and/or auditor tours.
• Support site compliance requirements.
• Support vendor maintenance activities within Data Center.
• Other duties as assigned.
