Open Systems Technologies Corporation is seeking a Data Center Hardware Technician II responsible for installing IT hardware in a data center, managing cabling, racks, space, power, and cooling according to manufacturer guidelines.

The role requires three years of data center experience, familiarity with BICSI/TIA standards, and certifications; you will document changes in Excel/SharePoint and coordinate with systems engineers for repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of data center hardware and cable installation experience.
  • BICSI Installer 2 for copper and fiber; CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Associate degree in IT systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read manufacturer installation guides and interpret layouts.

Responsibilities

  • Install IT hardware in data center racks with proper space, power, and cooling.
  • Provision cabling, rack rails, and mounting hardware for servers, switches, and KVMs.
  • Perform end-to-end fiber and copper patching and cable management.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs with systems engineers; update configurations in Excel/SharePoint.
  • Follow safety rules, document changes, and maintain inventory records.
