Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a technology manager to lead data center operations teams, ensuring availability and reliability to meet service levels. The role involves strategy, mentoring, sponsoring projects, and hands-on problem solving across hardware and network diagnostics.

You will oversee on-call rotations, document processes, drive improvements, and manage large-scale events, collaborating with cross-functional teams to keep the cloud running 24/7.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT experience or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across locations.
• Develop and drive career planning for data center teams; lead recruiting and onboarding.
• Lead performance management activities for team members; manage and deliver mid-size projects.
• Ensure effective day-to-day data center operations including queue management and 24/7 shift arrangements.
