Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for global data center infrastructure. You will manage a diverse group of technicians, develop career paths, sponsor projects, and drive improvements across hardware, networking, and on-call operations.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years IT experience with 2+ years of people management, travel as needed, and a track record of strong leadership and technical decision-making in mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/math or equivalent.
• 2+ years people management Experience.
• 2+ years operations and on-call support for data center facilities or production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage performance of data center operation teams across locations.
• Develop and maintain Career Paths for employees and updates in internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
• Ensure day-to-day data center operations are efficient (7/24 shifts, hardware logistics).
• Act as SME across data center operations and meet KPIs/SLAs.
• Drive improvements in processes, technology, and automation.
