Job summary

Truist is seeking a Group Leader to manage the operational governance, reliability, and portfolio of multiple on‑premises and colocation data centers across the country. You will lead geographically dispersed teams and third‑party providers to sustain 100% uptime and drive continuous improvements.

You will partner with sourcing, PM, delivery, engineering, and commissioning teams to integrate new sites and deliver critical infrastructure projects, while managing budgets and performance metrics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent education.
• 5 years of related work experience, including supervisory experience in a dedicated data center environment.
• Strong technical knowledge and operational understanding of data center mechanical and electrical systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant health and safety laws and policies.
• Working knowledge of information technology infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, analytical, presentation, and process improvement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act clearly during emergency response situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data center operations to ensure high availability and uptime.
• Direct the activities of staff and contract providers supporting HVAC, electrical, life-safety, monitoring, and control systems across locations.
• Monitor and report on operational metrics, risks, and recommendations for critical infrastructure.
• Ensure change management controls and proper execution of work.
• Provide training and oversight of staff and external contractors in critical environments.
• Manage annual capital and expense budgets aligned with long-term portfolio goals.
• Collaborate with PM, delivery, engineering, and commissioning teams for site readiness and transitions.
• Lead vendor governance with Sourcing and monitor KPI and SLAs for uptime.
