Truist is seeking a Group Leader to manage operational governance and reliability of multiple data centers nationwide. You will oversee staff and third-party providers, drive uptime, and coordinate with PM, engineering, and commissioning teams to bring new sites online.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and at least 5 years in a data center environment with supervisory experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, or equivalent education and related training.
• 5 years of related work experience, including supervisory experience in a dedicated data center environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of data center mechanical and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety laws and policies.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure.
• Leadership, communication, planning, analytical, presentation, and process improvement skills.

Responsabilités

• Minimize risk across data center operations by using qualified operators and vendors to ensure high availability.
• Define maintenance objectives and document plans including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
• Direct activities of staff and contractors supporting HVAC, UPS, generators, life-safety, monitoring, electrical, and control systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on operational activity, performance, and risks for critical infrastructure.
• Ensure strict adherence to change management controls and operating procedures.
• Train and oversee staff and contractors in critical environments to prevent disruptions.
• Manage annual budgets for capital and expenses aligning with long-range plans.
• Collaborate with PM, delivery, engineering, and commissioning teams for readiness and transition of sites.
• Manage third-party service providers with KPIs and SLAs to drive 100% uptime.
• Lead multiple direct reports across dispersed locations with consistent practices and accountability.
• Improve governance, reporting, processes, and controls for portfolio reliability and risk management.
• Develop and present technical, financial, risk, and performance information to leadership for decisions.
