Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Group Leader to oversee operational management, reliability, and governance of multiple on-premises and colocated data centers nationwide, with the goal of 100% uptime. You will lead geographically dispersed employees and third-party providers, drive process improvements, manage budgets, and report performance to executives.

Collaborate with Sourcing, PM, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless site integration and ongoing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
• 5 years of related work experience including supervisory experience in a dedicated data center environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of data center mechanical and electrical systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety laws and policies.
• Working knowledge of information technology infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, analytical, presentation, and process improvement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act clearly during emergency response situations.

Responsibilities

• Minimize risk across on-premises and colocation data center operations by ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure and IT support systems.
• Identify maintenance objectives and create documented plans including preventive, predictive, and reactive procedures.
• Direct activities of staff and contractors supporting HVAC, UPS, generators, life-safety, environmental, monitoring, electrical, and control systems across locations.
• Monitor, record, analyze, and report on operational activities, infrastructure performance, trends, KPIs, risks, and recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to critical change management controls and operating procedures.
