Job summary

Lumicity is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across a mission-critical data center environment in Texas, Georgia, or Arizona. You will drive operational excellence, safety, and reliability while guiding technical teams and coordinating with engineering, infrastructure, and external partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within data center operations, critical facilities, infrastructure operations, or a similar mission-critical environment.
• Experience leading or managing technical operations teams.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling systems, HVAC, and environmental monitoring.
• Experience supporting high-density server, networking, GPU, HPC, cloud, or large-scale compute infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data center operational procedures, incident management, change management, and preventative maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions during high-pressure incidents.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the data center and ensure infrastructure remains available, reliable, and operating efficiently.
• Manage and develop a team of data center technicians, engineers, and operations personnel.
• Oversee critical infrastructure including power, cooling, UPS, generators, PDUs, HVAC and environmental monitoring systems.
• Coordinate server deployment, rack installation, cabling, hardware maintenance, break/fix activities, and equipment upgrades.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, maintenance procedures, and operational documentation.
• Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
• Track capacity across power, cooling, space, network connectivity, and other critical infrastructure.
• Support the deployment and expansion of new data center capacity.
• Work closely with infrastructure, network, hardware, facilities, and engineering teams to support large-scale compute environments.
