Job summary

Lambda Inc. is seeking a senior Data Center Infrastructure Lead in Elk Grove Village, IL. You will manage a team of data center technicians, ensure uptime, and oversee the deployment and operation of critical server, storage, and network infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, Linux basics, and experience with DCIM software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business goals and maintain strict SLA compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with critical infrastructure systems in data centers.
• Basic understanding of Linux administration.
• Experience setting up networking appliances across multiple data center locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data center technicians.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security in the data center.
• Rack, label, cabling, and configure new server/storage/network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems.
• Document data center layout and topology in DCIM.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing for large-scale deployments.
• Assess data center requirements based on growth and tech trends.
• Manage inventory and deployment process across data centers.
• Create installation standards and documentation for placement and cabling.
• Oversee deployments and day-to-day operations.
• Maintain asset uptime and meet customer SLAs.
• Participate in technical discussions on data center integration.
• Understand power/cooling and cabling needs for high-performance infra.
• Collaborate with Hardware E, Software E, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Sales.
• Ensure data center compliance with Lambda standards.
