Job summary

Lambda, The Superintelligence Cloud, seeks a senior data center leader to manage and grow a team of technicians in our Plano, TX data center. You will ensure high availability, reliability, and security while engineering scalable DC deployment and documentation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Supply Chain, Hardware and Software teams, mentoring staff, and enforcing Lambda standards and policies across all data centers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data center infrastructure experience.
• Basic Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience setting up networking across multiple DC locations.
• Detail-oriented with instruction-following ability.
• Willingness to learn and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of data center technicians.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security in the data center environment.
• Rack, label, cable, and configure new servers/storage/network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems.
• Document DC layout and topology in DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing for deployments.
• Assess future data center needs based on growth and tech trends.
• Manage parts depot inventory and deployment process across data centers.
• Create installation standards and documentation for placement, labeling, and cabling.
• Oversee deployments and daily operations.
• Maintain asset uptime and meet customer SLAs.
• Participate in technical discussions on data center integration and deployment strategies.
• Understand power/cooling and cabling requirements.
• Collaborate with Hardware Eng, Software Eng, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Sales to align DC solutions with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with Lambda standards and policies.
