Job summary

Google is seeking an Operations Technician in Stillwater, OK to install, configure, test, and maintain hardware and server software for cutting-edge data center infrastructure. You will handle racks, networks, and related components, working with a team on projects that empower Google’s AI and cloud platforms.

The role requires hands-on hardware skills, the ability to work non-standard hours, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

Experience completing work as directed and collaborating with teammates.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting OS, server hardware, or networking protocols.
Ability to lift/move 50lb (23kg) and perform physical tasks over extended periods.
Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends, nights, holidays, and on shift-based schedules.

Responsibilities

Deploy and operate data center infrastructure across projects or functions.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment or infrastructure; apply necessary resources to resolve problems.
Maintain data security and integrity; track media and ensure proper data erasure per Google standards.
Disassemble equipment at end-of-life for part replacement or maintenance in a team setting.
Repair and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, servers, or infrastructure with defined solutions.
