Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to operate and maintain data center systems, including UPS, HVAC, and backup power, while overseeing on-site vendors and ensuring safety and security. The role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires hands-on maintenance and documentation of critical equipment.

Responsibilities include monitoring environmental conditions, responding to alarms, and ensuring SLA adherence.

Qualifications

• 3 years of data center experience, operations, and maintenance of critical facilities.
• Knowledge of critical infrastructure including MV switchboards, Transformers, Generators, ATS/STS, UPS, PDUs, RPPs.
• Strong written and verbal communication, coordinating with local and regional teams.
• Commitment to excellence and ongoing process/quality improvements.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to meet timelines with team support.
• Team player across disciplines to get the job done.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain data center critical facility systems (power, cooling, backup generation, security).
• Monitor environmental conditions and equipment performance; respond to alarms and work orders.
• Maintain accurate technical and maintenance documentation.
• Supervise on-site vendors and contractors; ensure compliance and security standards.
• Track ticket queues and respond within SLA times.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders through Work Order completion.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
