Prime Data Centers seeks a Critical Operations Technician to support onsite electrical and mechanical systems at our Elk Grove Village, IL data center. You will operate UPS, generators, PDUs, AHUs, and related equipment, performing routine rounds and incident response during a 12-hour night shift.

The role emphasizes safety, uptime, and cost-effective maintenance, with opportunities for overtime and bonus programs. Applicants with data center or industrial facility experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
• Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical areas.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in the data center.
• Troubleshoot facility events within SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Adhere to safety procedures during work.
• Support 12-hour shift operations 7:00pm–7:00am.
• Record daily readings and monitor via BMS.
• Use CMMS to manage workflows and spares.
• Supervise contractors performing maintenance.
• Comply with security procedures.
• Drive cost efficiency and innovation in operations.
