Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking Critical Operations Technicians to join our Dallas facility. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining critical electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, switchgear, UPS, and HVAC systems, and ensuring safety compliance.

You will perform fault isolation, root cause analysis, and rapid troubleshooting to uphold uptime SLAs. The role requires physical readiness for site rounds, shift work, and supervision of contractor maintenance

Qualifications

Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
Background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, emergency generator, and fire/life safety equipment in the data center.
Troubleshoot facility events within internal SLAs.
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Adhere to all safety procedures while performing work.
Work a 12-hour shift (3 and 4 day work weeks).
Take daily readings of temperatures, voltages, and currents during rounds.
Monitor and trend data in the Building Management System (BMS).
Utilize CMMS to manage workflows and inventory.
Supervise contractors performing servicing or preventive maintenance.
Comply with physical security procedures and policies.
Drive innovation to reduce operational costs.
