Prime Data Centers Corporation is hiring a Critical Operations Technician to join our Elk Grove Village data center team. You will operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical and mechanical systems, including generators, UPS, PDUs, AHUs, and fire/life-safety equipment, ensuring uptime and safety.
The role is non-exempt, hourly, with overtime eligibility. Night shift is 12 hours (7:00pm–7:00am) with potential coverage shifts; strong safety focus and contractor supervision are required.

About the role
The Critical Operations Technician(s) (COT) are Prime Data Center’s front line responders for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, stand‑by diesel generators, switchboards/switchgears, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
The COT maintains and follows the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost‑effective way. Ensures that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services, and that internal customer demands are met.
