Job summary

EOS IT Solutions is seeking a Data Center Network Operations Lead to oversee hardware repair, fiber optic deployment, and troubleshooting in large-scale environments. You will lead a team of technicians, diagnose issues via CLI, and ensure SLA-driven service delivery across server, storage, and network hardware.

The role supports 24/7/365 operations with up to 10% travel domestically. Strong leadership, technical depth in data center hardware, and hands-on mentoring are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience in data center operations or IT support.
• 5+ years of experience in IT support, hardware diagnostics, and repair in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years of people management, supervisory, team lead, mentoring, or equivalent experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across server, storage, and network hardware platforms with timely resolution of hardware failures.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using CLI tools (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Linux shell) and resolve system issues.
• Oversee physical hardware repair including component replacements (drives, memory, NICs, PSUs, fans).
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues, fiber cabling, link faults, and misconfigurations.
• Support fiber splicing activities (single/multi-mode, ribbon) and testing using OTDR/OLTS.
• Provide mentorship and ensure safety and quality standards across field teams.
