Job summary

Meta seeks a Network Engineer to deploy and support large-scale data center networks across multiple locations. You will drive design, automation, and tooling, collaborating with software teams and vendors to enable efficient, reliable deployments.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives, influence future network designs, and participate in NPI processes while traveling 25–40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience using AI to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Extensive design and deployment experience for large-scale data center networks.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Familiarity with data center design, construction and startup/commissioning processes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional data center projects.
• Strong problem solving and strategic direction skills.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and optical transport.
• Experience with IP+Optical network hardware platforms.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer and implement large-scale data center networks across multiple locations.
• Research, deploy technologies and topologies to scale data centers and optimize deployments.
• Lead strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, innovation and standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop features for networks.
• Influence future data center and network designs for new infrastructure integration.
• Participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to build tooling to provision, monitor and troubleshoot networks.
• Create network design packages with design and construction teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
• Develop automation to drive consistency and efficiency in design, deployment and operations.
• Perform site visits with architects and contractors to validate cabling per Meta standards.
• Maintain technical reference, process and training documentation.
• Travel 25% to 40% depending on project demand.
