Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team is hiring a Network Engineer focused on deployment and support for large-scale data center networks. You will drive design, testing, and rollout of data center infrastructure across multiple geographies, partnering with software teams to build tooling and with vendors to ensure robust, scalable networks.

Ideal candidates bring deep data center networking knowledge, experience with AI-enhanced deployments, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leveraging AI to drive efficiencies for deployments.
• Designed and deployed large-scale data center network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure and best practices.
• Familiar with data center design, construction, and startup/commissioning processes.
• Led cross-functional teams on large data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement large-scale data center networks across locations.
• Research and deploy technologies and topologies to scale data centers.
• Lead strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, innovation, and standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop features for networks.
• Influence future data center and network designs for seamless integration.
• Participate in New Product Introduction for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to build tooling for provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting networks.
• Create network infrastructure design packages for deployment teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
• Develop automation to drive consistency in design, deployment, and ops.
• Visit sites and coordinate with construction, design, and contractors to validate cabling per Meta standards.
• Maintain technical references, processes, and training docs.
• Travel 25% to 40% based on project demand.
