Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support large-scale data center networks across multiple geographic locations, helping connect the world.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, drive efficiency through automation, participate in the New Product Introduction process, and develop tooling with software teams to provision, monitor, and troubleshoot networks. Travel 25%–40% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience leveraging AI to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
• Extensive experience designing and deploying large-scale data center networks.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Familiarity with data center design, construction, and commissioning.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on large data center projects.
• Strong problem solving, strategic direction, and tactical execution.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and optical transport.
• Knowledge of IP + Optical network hardware platforms.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale data center networks across multiple locations.
• Research and deploy technologies to evolve data centers and optimize deployments.
• Lead strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop new features.
• Influence future data center and network designs for integration.
• Participate in the New Product Introduction process for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to build tooling for provisioning, monitoring, troubleshooting.
• Develop network design packages with design teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, partners, vendors.
• Develop automation to improve consistency and efficiency in design and operations.
• Perform site visits with construction/design teams to validate cabling and builds.
• Maintain technical reference, process and training docs.
• Travel 25% to 40% depending on project demand.
