Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas seeks a National Accounts Director to lead the Data Centers vertical within the National Accounts team. You will set vertical strategy, lead the team, and drive profitable growth across key accounts.

This remote role requires up to 50% travel in the US and collaboration with executive leadership, field and manufacturing, to win large-scale data center opportunities and build lasting executive relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years people leadership experience.
• History of leading high-performing sales teams through periods of rapid growth in the data center sector.
• Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including market characteristics, segmentation, trends, growth potential, and Daikin’s position with standing and target accounts.
• Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy for the Data Center vertical, provide updates to leadership, and align short- and long-term planning with Daikin’s model.
• Key Customer Planning & Execution: enhance Data Center team's professionalism, drive process improvements for customer experience, and scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and Rep leadership.
• Stakeholder Coordination: lead vertical strategy with internal customers across supply chain, manufacturing, service operations, and product development; monitor competitors and adapt messaging.
• Marketing: collaborate with marketing on materials, trade shows, and visibility; identify speaking engagements and publication opportunities.
• Team Management: lead a team of Data Center experts, grow pipeline, evaluate plans, hire and train new headcount, and foster performance development.
