Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager / Owner's Representative for Data Center Mechanical Engineering SME to lead planning, design, construction, commissioning and handover of mission-critical data center projects. Acting as the owner's representative, this role provides technical leadership on mechanical systems to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget and to operational objectives.

The role requires 8+ years in data centers or large-scale infra, strong knowledge of HVAC,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years delivering mission-critical, data center or large-scale infra projects.
• Experience as Owner's Representative, PM, Design Manager, or mechanical lead.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; problem-solving ability.
• Certifications such as PMP, PE, or CxA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent client's interests across all data center development phases.
• Provide mechanical systems expertise (HVAC, cooling plants, CRAH/CRAC, chilled water).
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and communications.
• Review designs, calculations, and submittals for compliance.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to standards.
• Lead technical issue resolution and support value engineering.
• Support testing, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular project reporting and executive updates.
