Jobtailor in Stillwater, Oklahoma seeks an Inventory/Logistics Associate to handle receiving, stocking, and shipping of server hardware. You will maintain records and support data center operations with precision and safety.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of logistics experience, proficiency with Excel, and the ability to lift heavy items, work with pallet jacks and forklifts, and collaborate across technical and procurement teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory.
• Maintain inventory records and documentation for received and shipped items.
• Perform stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers.
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging.
• Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments.
• Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks.
• Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment.
• Follow safety protocols, data center security measures, and access controls.
• Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams.

Job description

• Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming inventory, including racks, trays, networking equipment, and other hardware
• Maintain inventory records and documentation for received and shipped items
• Perform stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging
• Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments
• Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas and shipping/receiving docks
• Dispose of packaging materials and obsolete equipment
• Follow safety protocols, data center security measures, and access controls
• Collaborate with data center operations, procurement, and technical support teams
• Support special projects and other duties assigned by management
• Set up and install computer server racks according to instructions
• Assemble server racks using diagrams and guidelines
• Safely handle basic tools and equipment
• Support senior technicians with cable management and organization within server racks

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software
• Proficiency in basic office software, including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to perform basic math calculations with and without a calculator
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents
• Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Ability to lift and move heavy material and perform physical tasks related to server trays and server racks
• Ability to use power equipment to move very heavy server racks safely
• Ability to carry objects 3–5 feet weighing up to 50 lbs routinely
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of more than 4 hours
• Ability to walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in team lifts
• Ability to tolerate hot and cold work environments
• Additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including possible overtime <
