Associated Bank is seeking a Portfolio Relationship Manager to own a growing lending portfolio, sourcing high-impact transactions and leading underwriting, while mentoring a team of portfolio managers.

You will negotiate complex credit structures, manage client relationships, and drive portfolio growth across data center financing, infrastructure, and related sectors. The role emphasizes strategic deal execution and leadership in a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in credit underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management.
• 2+ years of knowledge in data centers, infrastructure, or commercial lending.
• 2+ years of expertise in financial modeling, risk assessment, and loan structuring.
• 2+ years of proven ability to manage client relationships and negotiate deal terms.
• 4+ years of advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Access).
• 2+ years of formal credit training (preferred), but strong analytical and structuring skills are key.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline, or equivalent related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Be a Dealmaker – Source, structure, and execute new lending opportunities with sponsors and financial institutions.
• Own the Credit Process – Lead underwriting and credit approval, ensuring alignment with goals and risk framework.
• Manage High-Value Portfolios – Oversee existing and new transactions, loan modifications, compliance tracking, legal documentation, and financial analysis.
• Build Key Relationships – Act as central contact for borrowers, sponsors, legal advisors, risk teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead & Develop Talent – Manage a team of portfolio managers, mentoring and overseeing for growth.
• Navigate Complex Deals – Use industry knowledge to navigate credit structuring, due diligence, and market trends in data center financing.
