Job summary

Associated Bank seeks a Portfolio Relationship Manager to own a growing data center lending portfolio and drive execution from origination to funding. You will source deals, structure credit, and lead a team of portfolio managers to deliver high‑impact results.

Build strategic relationships with sponsors and financial institutions, oversee underwriting and risk assessment, and mentor colleagues to achieve operational excellence in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of credit underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management.
• 2+ years of experience in data centers, infrastructure, or commercial lending.
• 2+ years of financial modeling, risk assessment, and loan structuring.
• 2+ years of proven ability to manage client relationships and negotiate deal terms.
• 2+ years of formal credit training (preferred) but strong analytical and structuring skills are key.

Responsibilities

• Source, structure, and execute new lending opportunities with sponsors and financial institutions.
• Lead the underwriting and credit approval process, ensuring transactions align with goals and risk framework.
• Oversee existing and new transactions, including loan modifications, compliance tracking, and financial analysis.
• Serve as central contact for borrowers, sponsors, legal advisors, risk teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage a team of portfolio managers, providing mentorship and oversight to drive excellence.
• Navigate credit structuring, due diligence, and market trends in data center financing.
