Job summary

CoreSite, LLC is seeking a Data Center Interconnection Specialist to design, engineer, and implement interconnection systems across multiple sites within a nationwide operation. This role partners with field ops and IT teams to ensure scalable, reliable connectivity for tenants and services.

You will drive DCIM integration, maintain data integrity, and guide MACD processes while leading medium-to-large projects. Strong cable design knowledge and experience with MDF/IDF are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data center interconnection design and operations.
• 2+ years' experience with managing physical cable plants.
• 2+ years' experience with DCIM tools.
• Experience running MDF/IDF architecture.
• Experience in multi-tenant data center environments.
• Preferred experience in data center or telecommunications industry.
• Preferred experience TIA/EIA environments.
• Two year college/trade education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of current and future interconnection technology needs, with emphasis on high availability and new product offerings.
• Implementation of DCIM platform into production workflow.
• Occasional travel to data center sites for planning, installation, or support needs.
• Attendance at industry trade shows as needed.
• Establish and maintain testing standards for interconnection products.
• Work to improve processes related to interconnection product delivery.
• Establish engineering standards for MDF, IDF, intra-building connectivity, and outside plant connectivity.
• Provide training to new hire field operations personnel as well as SMEs.
• Produce network topology diagrams for existing and new infrastructures for sales, customers, marketing, and other internal needs.
