The Data Center Interconnection Specialist will design and implement interconnection architectures, supervise DCIM integration, and coordinate with field operations to support capacity upgrades and new builds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center interconnection design and operations.
• 2+ years managing physical cable plants.
• 2+ years with DCIM tools.
• Experience running MDF/IDF architecture.
• Experience in multi-tenant data center environments.
• Preferred experience in data center or telecommunications industry.
• Preferred experience TIA/EIA environments.
• Two year college/trade education preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of current and future interconnection technology needs with emphasis on optimization and high availability.
• Implementation of DCIM platform into production workflow.
• Occasional travel to data center sites for planning, installation, or support needs
• Attend industry trade shows as needed.
• Establish and maintain testing standards for interconnection products
• Improve processes related to interconnection product delivery
• Establish engineering standards for MDF, IDF, intra-building connectivity, and outside plant connectivity.
• Provide training to new hire field operations personnel as well as SMEs
• Produce network topology diagrams for existing and new infrastructures for internal teams
