Job summary

CoreSite is seeking a Data Center Interconnection Specialist to join the network engineering team. You will design, engineer, and implement interconnection solutions across multi-site data centers, guiding DCIM integration into workflows.

You will work with field operations, support MACD processes, and produce network topology diagrams for internal needs. The role requires 5+ years in data center interconnection design and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data center interconnection design and operations.
• 2+ years' experience with managing physical cable plants.
• 2+ years' experience with DCIM tools.
• Experience running MDF/IDF architecture.
• Experience in multi-tenant data center environments.
• Preferred experience in data center or telecommunications industry.
• Two year college/trade education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of current and future interconnection technology needs with emphasis on high availability and new product offerings.
• Implement DCIM platform into production workflow.
• Occasional travel to data center sites for planning, installation, or support needs.
• Attend industry trade shows as needed.
• Establish and maintain testing standards for interconnection products.
• Work to improve processes related to interconnection product delivery.
• Establish engineering standards for MDF, IDF, intra-building connectivity, and outside plant connectivity.
• Provide training to new hire field operations personnel and SMEs.
• Produce network topology diagrams for internal needs.
