Job summary

CoreSite, LLC is seeking a Data Center Interconnection Specialist to design, engineer, and implement interconnection technologies across multiple data center sites. You will work with field operations to plan capacity augments and new builds while guiding DCIM integration into order workflows.

The role requires expertise in MDF/IDF architecture, multi-tenant environments, and data center network design, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data center interconnection design and operations.
• 2+ years' experience with managing physical cable plants.
• 2+ years' experience with DCIM tools.
• Experience running MDF/IDF architecture.
• Experience in multi-tenant data center environments.
• Preferred experience in data center or telecommunications industry.
• Preferred experience TIA/EIA environments.
• Two year college/trade education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of current and future interconnection technology needs.
• Implementation of DCIM platform into production workflow.
• Occasional travel to data center sites for planning, installation, or support needs
• Attend industry trade shows as needed.
• Establish and maintain testing standards for interconnection products
• Work to improve processes related to interconnection product delivery
• Establish engineering standards for MDF, IDF, intra-building connectivity, and outside plant connectivity.
• Provide training to new hire field operations personnel as well as SMEs.
• Produce network topology diagrams for existing and new infrastructures for internal needs.
