Job summary

The Data Center Interconnection Specialist will design, engineer, and implement interconnection architectures across multiple sites, integrate DCIM into workflows, and coordinate with field operations to support capacity augments and new builds.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in data center interconnection design and operations.
• 2+ years' experience with managing physical cable plants.
• 2+ years' experience with DCIM tools.
• Experience running MDF/IDF architecture.
• Experience in multi-tenant data center environments.
• Preferred experience in data center or telecommunications industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and architecture of current and future interconnection technology needs with emphasis on optimization, high availability, and new product offerings.
• Implement DCIM platform into production workflow.
• Occasional travel to data center sites for planning, installation, or support needs.
• Attend industry trade shows as needed.
• Establish and maintain testing standards for interconnection products.
• Improve processes related to interconnection product delivery.
• Establish engineering standards for MDF, IDF, intra-building connectivity, and outside plant connectivity.
• Provide training to new hire field operations personnel as well as SMEs.
• Produce network topology diagrams for existing and new infrastructures for internal needs.
