Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own and operate our private data center footprint across Bellevue and Everett. This hands-on contractor role covers physical compute, storage, and power infrastructure, working with a tight IT team and reporting to the Senior IT Infrastructure Manager.

Responsibilities include maintaining VMware environments, SAN/NAS storage, and UPS systems, while coordinating with facilities and networking teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center or enterprise infrastructure
• Hands-on with VMware vSphere/ESXi and vCenter
• Experience with physical server hardware (HPE preferred)
• Storage platforms knowledge (iSCSI, NFS, FC)
• Backup solutions administration and recovery validation
• UPS/PDUs and power capacity planning experience
• DCIM tools familiarity and structured cabling/rack work
• ITIL change management experience
• Multi-site or campus environment experience
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate a medium-sized private data center
• Manage local MDF/IDF spaces across locations
• Deploy and manage VMware vSphere/ESXi environments
• Administer SAN/NAS storage and cloud archives
• Oversee UPS/PDU health, capacity, and preventive maintenance
• Coordinate with facilities on space, power, and cooling
• Respond to power alarms and planned maintenance windows
• Inspect infrastructure and document runbooks and diagrams
• Support change tickets and post-implementation reviews
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergencies
