Job summary

Meade seeks an ICT Infrastructure Design Engineer I (Low Voltage) to design data-center networks, backbone cabling, and rack elevations using Revit. This role emphasizes structured cabling, SEF, and outside plant coordination with civil and electrical teams.

The candidate applies BICSI, TIA/EIA, and ANSI standards, produces construction drawings, and delivers BIM-coordinated ICT models with accurate documentation across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in ICT/structured cabling design, or network infrastructure design.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• RCDD certification preferred — this is not a software/IT networking position.
• Knowledge of network architecture and infrastructure design principles.
• Experience with data center environments.
• Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, BICSI, TIA/EIA, construction drawings, rack elevations.
• Proficiency Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling systems (fiber and copper), telecommunications spaces and pathways, and standards (TIA/EIA).
• Ability to work in a team with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers.
• Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
• Communication skills both written and verbal are required.

Responsibilities

• Design ICT and network infrastructure systems, including structured cabling and telecommunications pathways.
• Develop LAN/WAN topology diagrams, logical network layouts, and physical infrastructure design, cable routing, and pathway layouts.
• Produce construction drawings, cable routing and pathway layouts, equipment schedules and specifications.
• Design passive infrastructure including fiber backbone systems, copper cabling, and cross-connect configurations.
• Coordinate SEF infrastructure and outside plant designs with civil/electrical teams.
• Develop BIM-coordinated ICT models for design coordination and clash detection.
• Prepare design deliverables using Revit (MEP) and maintain project documentation throughout lifecycle.
