Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm focused on infrastructure for data centers, cloud providers, and large-scale projects. We seek an ICT Infrastructure Design Engineer I (Low Voltage) to design network infrastructure and structured cabling for mission-critical facilities.

The role emphasizes fiber/copper backbone routing, rack elevations, conduit systems, and Revit/AutoCAD documentation, with an emphasis on compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in ICT/structured cabling design, or network infrastructure design.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• RCDD certification preferred — this is not a software/IT networking position.

Responsibilities

• Design ICT and network infrastructure systems including structured cabling (fiber and copper) and telecommunications pathways.
• Develop LAN/WAN topology diagrams, logical network layouts, and physical infrastructure design, cable routing and pathway layouts.
• Produce construction drawings, cable routing and pathway layouts, equipment schedules and specifications, and rack elevations.
• Design passive infrastructure including fiber backbone systems, copper cabling, and cross-connect/ODF configurations.
• Develop SEF infrastructure, fiber vault placement, underground conduit stub-outs, and coordination of carrier pathways.
• Develop outside plant (OSP) designs including underground conduit systems and site routing in coordination with civil and electrical disciplines.
• Apply industry standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, ANSI) to ensure compliant and scalable designs.
• Support the design and coordination of low-voltage systems (AV, CCTV, access control, wireless).
• Contribute to data center infrastructure designs and data hall layouts, rack plans, and cable management strategies.
