Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support data center clients across Northeast Virginia, servicing temporary climate control equipment to keep critical facilities operating safely and efficiently.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC and related systems on rental equipment, travel within the territory, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Experience servicing mission-critical facilities or data centers preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, chillers, package units, air handlers, and temporary climate control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and overtime when needed.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and temporary climate control equipment supporting data center operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and power equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Install, start up, and commission rental equipment at customer sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service and basic operational training to customers.
• Accurately document service work, inspections, and repairs using electronic service systems.
• Travel throughout Northeast Virginia to support customer locations; follow safety procedures including data center protocols.
