Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support data center customers across Northeast Virginia. You will service and maintain temporary climate control equipment and act as a technical expert to ensure peak performance in both shop and customer sites.

The role requires 3+ years of HVAC service experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics. Travel is expected within the assigned territory, with safety and quality as priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Experience servicing mission-critical facilities or data centers preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
• Reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and temporary climate control equipment supporting data center operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and power equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Install, start up, and commission rental equipment at customer sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service and basic operational training to customers.
• Accurately document service work, inspections, and repairs using electronic service systems.
• Travel throughout Northeast Virginia to support customer locations.
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures, including strict data center safety protocols.
