Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking apprentices to work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites. You will participate in STA-certified training, build hands-on skills, and grow toward advanced technician roles within a union-backed program.

Safety is a core priority, with comprehensive training and a pathway to certification, advancement opportunities, and competitive, CBA-based wages. This is a bargaining unit position with contingent pre-hire screening.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical HVAC systems
• 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis
• Basic knowledge of HVAC equipment and controls

Responsibilities

• Join Johnson Controls to work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites.
• Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy (STA).
• Develop troubleshooting and customer-service skills with coaching and mentorship.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to improve facility efficiency and meet safety standards
