Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics to join our Data Center Service Team in support of North America operations. You will service light and heavy commercial chillers, rooftop units, and related mechanical systems in mission-critical environments.

Expect factory certification through STA, competitive incentive programs, and a company vehicle for customer site work, with 10–20% travel. You will train, certify, and advance within a collaborative, safety-first team.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience
• Experience with light commercial and heavy commercial equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot centrifugal compressors, chillers, pumps and turbines
• Willingness to travel 10–20% for regional support
• Must maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification

Responsibilities

• Provide service and maintenance on commercial HVACR systems to maximize uptime
• Diagnose issues and propose corrective actions with clear quotes
• Coordinate with customers to communicate problems, causes and fixes
• Work with technicians and apprentices to install and commission systems
• Complete documentation and service reports with accuracy and timeliness
