Johnson Controls Inc. is hiring apprentices to work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites, with certification available through the Service Technical Academy (STA).

You will be trained to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while delivering solutions that improve building performance. Ideal candidates have 1+ years in HVAC servicing, strong safety focus, and a willingness to join the union Local apprenticeship program, with a driver’s license and ability to work at

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industry experience or servicing mechanical systems in HVAC.
• Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally.
• Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-complex HVAC equipment.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites.
• Participate in certified training through the Service Technical Academy (STA).
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently and upsell opportunities where appropriate.
• Keep customers and contractors informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• Meet attendance requirements for Union training in the first year.
