Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience with client sites. You will work on HVAC equipment and controls, supported by the Service Technical Academy, to develop professional skills and progress within the organization.

Applicants should be willing to join the United Association and have 1+ years in HVAC or servicing mechanical systems, plus a valid driver’s license. This is a bargaining unit position with local union benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• 1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in HVAC.
• Preferred 1–2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Apprentices will be trained and perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
• Participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy to build skill sets.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to support improvements and efficiency.
