Qualifications

• 3+ years in data center operations, hardware support, or system build environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in IT/electronics or related field.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware architecture and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with RAID, BIOS/firmware updates, and common hardware troubleshooting tools.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Basic networking fundamentals (switching, cabling, IP configuration).
• Experience coordinating RMAs with vendors or manufacturers.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to perform detailed testing and QA standards.
• Reliable in a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware setup, testing, and validation prior to deployment.
• Diagnose, document, and escalate recurring or complex hardware failures.
• Coordinate RMA requests, vendor communication, parts returns, and replacements.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware components and RMAs.
• Support installation, racking, and cabling of servers and network gear.
• Execute data destruction procedures per security policies.
• Assist in hardware audits and asset documentation in systems.
• Monitor alerts, tickets, and queues; respond and escalate as needed.
• Perform firmware and BIOS updates on servers and hardware platforms.
• Install and configure operating systems using standard images and configs.
• Support planned maintenance and infrastructure upgrades under senior guidance.
• Collaborate to identify process improvements and update docs.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule as required.
• Provide courteous communication with stakeholders and customers.
