Job summary

CloudOne Digital in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an RMA Specialist to support 24/7 data center operations. You will handle hardware lifecycle management, including setup, testing, diagnostics, repair coordination, and RMA processing to ensure reliable infrastructure.

This on-site, full-time role requires hands-on hardware experience, working knowledge of RAID and BIOS updates, and the ability to document issues clearly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations or hardware support.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in IT or electronics.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware and diagnostic procedures.
• Experience coordinating RMAs with vendors.
• Proficient in Linux and Windows Server.
• Basic networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware setup, testing, and validation prior to deployment.
• Diagnose and document hardware failures.
• Coordinate RMA requests with vendors and manage parts returns.
• Maintain accurate hardware inventory and RMA status.
• Assist in rack, install, and cabling of servers and network gear.
• Execute data destruction procedures per security policies.
• Assist in hardware audits and asset documentation.
• Monitor alerts and tickets; escalate when needed.
• Perform firmware/BIOS updates and OS deployments.
• Assist in planned maintenance and upgrades.
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
