Mott MacDonald is seeking a North America Data Center Design Lead to drive growth, capability development, and market leadership across our Data Center business. You will report to the NASA CEO and collaborate with global leaders to shape strategy, standards, and the future of our data center practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer, Registered Architect, or equivalent credential.
• Significant experience in data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or complex infrastructure environments.
• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary engineering, design, and technical delivery teams.
• Experience working across North America and collaborating with global teams.
• Demonstrated success by growing a global business, technical practice, or engineering organization.
• Experience with hyperscale program standards such as MSFT, META, GOOGLE, AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth and market strategy for the Data Center business across North America and build client relationships.
• Develop and execute multi-year growth plans across hyperscale, cloud, AI, colocation, and enterprise sectors.
• Serve as trusted advisor to strategic clients, supporting business development and major pursuits.
• Build and grow a high-performing Data Center practice across North America and globally.
• Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and leadership development for long-term growth objectives.
• Promote technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Represent the Data Center leadership team, shaping technical strategy and governance.
• Provide executive oversight for major pursuits and complex project delivery.
• Champion AI-ready infrastructure, advanced cooling, sustainability, and digital delivery.
