Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Field Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers, from design inception to maintenance. You will act as a regional engineering resource, review submittals, troubleshoot failures, and mentor partner engineers in fire protection principles.

You will own upgrade designs, promote standards, and lead on-site audits and construction support across multiple regions, combining office and field work with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or similar.
• Valid and active driver's license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review design and equipment submittals for new Data Centers in the region.
• Troubleshoot, conduct RCA and create corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews.
• Mentor customers and partner engineers in fire protection principles.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to improve capacity and efficiency.
• Lead engineering audits and on-site visits with risk and mitigation reports.
