Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN, is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Fire Protection Field Engineer to provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design through maintenance.

You will serve as the fire protection expert, review designs, troubleshoot failures, mentor engineers, and lead on-site audits across regions, with a focus on safety, reliability, and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of fire alarm and fire suppression system installation, operation and design.
• Knowledge of fire protection engineering principles, hazards and fire behavior.
• Experience with NFPA, NEC, FM Global, IFC and IBC codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as fire protection engineering expert across a wide region.
• Review design and equipment submittals for new Data Centers.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform RCA, and document corrective actions.
• Mentor customers and partner engineers in fire protection.
• Lead engineering audits and on-site visits; produce risk reports.
